At Brooke Bridges Academy, we believe education is both an intellectual and spiritual calling—one that shapes the whole person for a life of wisdom, purpose, and faithfulness. Our academy took root in 2018 on the conviction that true learning reveals the beauty, order, and presence of God in all things, and that academic rigor and personal formation should go hand in hand.

The academy is led by Stephen and Tara Hurst, who bring both a strong academic foundation and a shared commitment to Christ-centered, classical education. Together, they partner with other talented educators, tutors, and spiritual directors to provide an engaging and enriching academic experience for students of all ages.

Stephen Hurst serves as the Dean of School and oversees the broader direction and governance of the academy. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Texas at Austin. With a deep interest in philosophy, civics, and the classical tradition, Stephen provides institutional oversight and contributes to the academy’s long-term vision, academic alignment, and theological grounding.

Tara Hurst serves as the academy’s Lead Elementary Educator and Director of Curriculum Design. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Business from Mount Royal University and is fully bilingual in English and French. With a passion for languages, literature, and the liberal arts, she brings a structured yet nurturing approach to the classroom—guiding students toward academic excellence while cultivating joy, curiosity, and reverence for truth.

Together, the Hursts are committed to fostering a learning environment where rigorous academics, classical disciplines, and Christian formation converge. Their goal is to raise students who think deeply, live wisely, and recognize God's presence in every aspect of life—from the sciences and languages to the humanities and natural world.
